We believe every student should have the opportunity to travel. That’s why we invest more than $2.5 million annually in student travel scholarships, empowering teachers and schools to help more students experience the lifelong impact of educational travel. To further support families, we also provide fundraising tools and resources.

Travel-based learning is essential to education, and we believe that more students should have the opportunity to experience it. We proudly invest more than $2.5 million in student travel scholarships each year—and one important way we bring this commitment to life is through our merit-based Explorer Scholarship.
Every year, student travelers benefit from our merit-based Explorer Scholarship. Any student is encouraged to apply—they’ll fill out a quick online application and write a short essay answering the question: Why do you want to go on this EF Explore America class trip?

Is a teacher in your community already planning an EF educational tour?
We’re here to support you with practical fundraising tools to help make your upcoming tour possible. From sample letter templates to creative fundraising ideas, we provide everything you’ll need to rally your community and turn your travel goals into reality.

“It is an absolute joy to watch their questions, observations, and realizations form and come into reality in real time. It is truly like my students are experiencing history, while learning about it, all at the same time!”
